The invitation arrived via e-mail from Casey Wohl author of Girl’s Getaway Guide to Orlando. The phone calls back and forth on what to wear began between girlfriends. Decisions were made and we arrived at Neiman Marcus’ Shoe Department at the Millennium Mall at 4:00 PM and the party began.

50+ Fabulous women were in attendance trying on Manolo Blahnik shoes and drinking Cosmopolitans, both made famous by Carrie Bradshaw and her girlfriends of HBO’s Sex and the City.  Women of all ages came together for a pre-film party of Orlando’s premiere of Sex and the City, Friday, May 30.  Just as the HBO series helped us further define ‘girlfriend’, many women came in girlfriend groups to have fun together.  Neiman Marcus generously gave away some door prizes and all the party guests received a gift bag upon leaving.
